How to make a mince beef and onion pie

Minced beef and onion pie is a true British classic. Simple yet comforting, it’s the perfect meal for a family weeknight, especially on a cold winter’s night. It’s not the most glamorous and eye-catching of dishes but the flavour is delicious. A traditional mince and onion pie is made from minced beef, onions and gravy in a shortcrust pastry. But the recipe has been modernised and enhanced with the addition of a few extra ingredients to really bring out the flavour.
